Make a conscious choice, especially in challenging moments, to focus on joy as a source of strength, and find at least one small reason to be happy.

Create a list of small actions that bring you immediate joy (a favorite song, a funny picture, a good memory), and use one of them every time complex emotions overwhelm you.

Choose one person each day who seems sad or troubled and smile at them with a wide smile.
